Pick up on art from the 2008 SF Open Studios artists at the exclusive Private Preview Gala on Saturday, October 4th. Catch a first glance of the 2008 SF Open Studios Exhibition, which provides an eclectic overview of the 400+ artists’ work. Hung salon style, the artwork represents what you will find when visiting artists’ studios during the upcoming weekends.
Once you purchase tickets, your name will be added to the guest list. Physical tickets will not be issued.
Patron Membership ($500)
This package includes 2 VIP Private Preview Tickets, 2 VIP tickets to ArtSpan's 2009 Benefit Art Show and Auction, 1 private limo tour of artists' studios in early 2009, & a thank you gift of 1 original artwork. 50% of each Patron Membership directly supports the Arts for City Youth Program.
VIP 6 Ticket Package ($500)

VIP ticket ($100 in advance, $115 at door), 6pm–7:30pm
VIP guests get a special sneak preview, plus complimentary parking, open bar, tasty hors d’oeuvres, goodie bags, live jazz, and a captivating performance by VaBang! Dance Company. The live auction features enticing specialty packages.
General ticket ($50 in advance, $60 at the door), 7:30pm–10pm
Join the VIPs for the live auction, appetizers, music, an open bar and the exhibition. Deejays set the vibe to complement the art viewing. Proceeds benefit ArtSpan programs.
Discounted Artist VIP Tickets ($75) and General Tickets ($40)
Discounted tickets are available to all registered 2008 Premier and Participating SF Open Studios artist members by phone and in advance only. Contact ArtSpan at (415) 861-9838 or at info@artspan.org to purchase these tickets by October 2, 2008. Limit two tickets per artist.
The Live Auction will begin at 8:30pm and will feature the following specialty packages:
* Unwind at Meadowood Napa Valley: Enjoy a one night stay for two, plus dinner, plus a private tour and tasting for eight at Clos Pegase Winery in Calistoga.
* Take an exciting sail on the bay: You and a guest will launch from the majestic SF Marina on a restored 30 ft. racing sloop.
* Round trip tickets for two on JetBlue Airways, plus a relaxing ride to and from the airport in a luxury sedan, courtesy of Boston Coach.
* A gesture portrait commissioned from your favorite photograph painted by SF Open Studios Artist and ArtSpan Board Chairman, John Melvin.
* A weekend wine country get-away to a quaint country home nestled among the vineyards of the Alexander Valley. This 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home, plus 1 bedroom, 1 bath poolhouse, sleeps 8!
* You and a friend can experience a 1-day glassblowing workshop at Public Glass, San Francisco's premiere center for creation and education in glass!
* Experience ART-about-TOWN on a delightful tour led by the lovely Sharon Reaves of Reaves Gallery. Includes limo service and 1 hour art appraisal by Alan Bramberger of ArtBusiness.com, plus dinner at TripTych restaurant in SOMA (gratuities not included).
